Anyone have any stories/feedback/words of encouragement for this?

Quick background - Mother, age 62, has one spinal met on her T1. Inoperable b/c of the spinal cord. Doing Radiation and starting Taxol in two weeks. BC is not hormone receptive.

Thanks,

CM

I am also triple negative and had five spinal mets, all of which disappeared completely after two cycles of Abraxane (a form of taxol). The right chemo can do wonders. Good luck to your mom.

    Hi WinningSoFar,

Thanks for your story. Glad to hear it's done wonders for you. I can only hope and pray for the same with my mom. <

Hi CMHA22. I was diagnosed with multiple bone and lung mets along with kidney, thyroid and multiple internal nodes nearly 2.5 years ago. Weekly Taxol reduced those mets significantly and has kept me stable all this time.

I'm hoping the same for your mom

    Hi ShazzaKelly,

Are you also hormone receptor negative? How often, and for how long, did you get your Taxol treatments?

hi, while I'm hormone receptor positive my oncologist feels I no longer respond to hormone treatment after over 10 years on them so I am treated as if I'm triple negative.

I receive taxol weekly and have stayed on it of over 2 years now. I'm currently trailing an oral version which saves going into the hospital so often.

It's a fairly easy chemo to tolerate at least for me and I work and lead a normal life.
