    Hi Rose!

Well I think you know I am, from the other website ;-)

I have just finished my first 2 week round of Xeloda, and am in my off-week. So far, no side effects. Fingers crossed!

I had .8cm residual TNBC tumor after AC-T neoadjuvant chemo (plus carboplatin and veliparib, as part of a clinical trial), node-negative. Lumpectomy, then 33 rounds of radiation. Based on the CREATE-X trial that showed benefit for TNBC patients with residual tumors who took 8 rounds of Xeloda as adjuvant treatment (42% risk reduction), I wanted to try this. My oncologist wasn't initially too keen on this, since it's just based on one recent study from Japan, but has come around.

There will be additional clinical trials in the US testing Xeloda as adjuvant treatment for residual TNBC (one is already designed and about to accrue), so in the coming years there will be additional information on the effectiveness. But for now, I'm happy to have another option to try to make sure I'm rid of this TNBC once and for all hopefully!!

Would love to hear from others either using this as adjuvant treatment on residual TNBC, or considering it, or if you've heard any more about it, etc.

    Thanks,

    Tulips
