If anyone is getting this through a clinic in Canada, please let me know the details. Which clinic, cost, etc. Please, please go through pm if you're uncomfortable posting publicly (totally understand). Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!

Thank you Stepanie for going through the effort to give me the info. All the clinics are sooo far from me. I can't imagine the cost involved to get there, stay there during treatment etc. No way could I afford that. On the plus side, I have discovered that it's readily available in some European pharmacies. The first couple I tried on line would not ship to Canada. Nor do i think it would make it across the border if they did. Still trying to work out a way to get some. I'm not above doing what I have to do to get it! Busy on the phone too with the Canadian clinics.....hoping someone, somewhere will just say "sure, we'll provide the injections". Lol....not bloody likely, but at least I'll know I tried.

Holy smokes, dear Leggo!

I've been administering my own Iscador injections for 20 years this coming June after chemo failed to control the cancer on my chest wall.

And for 18 years administering my own IVs after a professional accesses my vein or port are. Have had my port for 14 years.

You are not as dependent on caregivers as you might think.

If you are scared of needles, don't use the standard insulin needle, but a syringe with a longer, wide-gauge needle to draw up the medication and a shorter, narrow-short gauge one to administer it.

PM me and I'll send you name of US pharmacy that may have information about resources in Canada. If you see a doctor even once to get the right rx for you, you should be able to continue on your own. Most physicians will work over the phone with less frequent office visits.

This really is doable!

Believe me, I am not afraid of needles....at all. Six different chemos, herceptin for 2 years, no port. A year of monthly faslodex. Hundreds of blood draws, daily fragmin injections and twice-yearly plasmapheresis. Self-injection is not the issue, however getting the ampules to do it is proving difficult. I'm going to pm you.
