TN just diagnosed with recurrence & liver mets

After three years of NED, I have just been diagnosed with a recurrence of TN with mets in my liver. I have a meeting with new MO at Vanderbilt's breast cancer center this week. I hope to find out more about my game plan and prognosis then.

In the meantime, I have lots of questions.

Any suggestions on what to ask the docs?

Comparing your treatment now to ACT, is it different? Better? Worse?

What do you wish you knew at the time you were first diagnosed with the recurrence?

Can you tell me some hopeful stories? I have a 12 year old and I need a good 5 years, but I am hopeful for longer!

As you can imagine, I feel pretty scared right now. Thanks

Mattie there is a stage IV forum on BCO fo you want to post there as well. They may be more able to help you out on that forum. We also have a thread called calling all TN's too that's a great place that may be able to help. So sorry you've been diagnosed with mets. Hope your appointment at Vanderbilt goes well.
