Hi:

I just thought I would write. Twelve years ago I received the news that I had a 7.5 cm tumor with positive lymph nodes. The surgeon said it looked bad.

But here I am, twelve years later, no recurrance, healthy and fit.

I was 41 when I was diagnosed. Premenopausal.

I was considered young. My cancer was aggressive too.

When I was diagnosed, I was despairing, terrified, and grief-stricken. It was the hardest time of my life.

I just wanted to write and let you who have just been diagnosed to know that there is hope and life after breast cancer. You are all in my prayers.

Wendy

I am thrilled that you are doing well! So glad that you have taken the time to share your good fortune! I hope others on this journey will take note that for so many of us, breast cancer is a very treatable disease. Likewise, I hope many sisters will remember in their thoughts and prayers, those sisters who are less fortunate! That said, thank you so much for your encouraging words!

Hey Wendy, that's fantastic news and it gives us so much hope! My diagnosis is similar to yours, just wondering if you changed anything afterwards- in terms of diet/exercise?

Did you have children prior to diagnosis? Or have you had any since? Just wondering as I am 35 years old with no children, but it'ssomething I would like to do in the future, as long as I'm OK of course. Thanks again, 😀

I wasn't just diagnosed but as someone with 6/11 + nodes I needed to hear that today. Thank you so much.

    Wendy.....thank you.

I just finished active treatment last month. I'm 41, the same age you were when diagnosed. Ever since my treatment finished, I've been overwhelmed with the fear of recurrence. After all, I'm young and have, (hopefully!), many years ahead of me....will cancer rear it's ugly head again, down the road???!!
Your post offered me hope, especially given your age at your diagnosis.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us! You're an angel!
