TEs hurt more after working out or if you have a drink?

Maybe a strange question because I feel like my TEs hurt all the time. However, I have noticed that if I go out and have a couple glasses of wine, that the TEs feel much worse the next day. I don't drink much to begin with and pretty much stopped at the advice of my oncologist. However, I went out last weekend to celebrate a family birthday and had a couple of glasses of wine. The next day, I swear my TEs hurt more than normal - felt like really heavy stones versus the usual "I have a coconut strapped to my chest" feel. I've also noticed increased discomfort after a workout. Just curious if others have noticed this as well.

My TEs definitely gave me more grief after a workout, I chalked it up to the muscles tensing up after strenuous use. I don't drink but I wonder if it's possible that you get mildly dehydrated after drinking and this causes more muscle spasms. Muscle function is affected by dehydration.

Hopefully someone else will have experience with this for you!

Thanks. Good to hear b/c I do not want to give up my workouts. I feel so much better after I sweat for an hour. Besides, it is great for me psychologically to be back with my work out buddies. I missed them. Still cannot swim but I told my swimming buddies that I would be back once the TEs are removed. :) Something to look forward to.

Mine sure are hurting more after spending the day with the grandkids! I'm still on 10 lb weight lifting restrictions and tried not to lift them but you know how it is! One jumped on me today and OMG. The pain! I took a Norco as soon as they left.

I found that gently stretching my chest helped prevent spasms. At the end of my cool down, I would place a long foam roller or tightly rolled towel vertically up and down my spine and just laid there with "goal post" arms. No movement, just letting gravity and the roll gently stretch the muscles.
