Post Mastectomy Nerve Pain

Hi, I would like to pass this along to anyone that can use the information.

I had a "simple" double mastectomy last September. After the surgery, I followed prescribed regular pain medication doses exactly to make sure I did not let the pain threshold become strong. ( It then takes much longer to control.) Also I took a prescribed regimen of Gabapentin . This targeted most nerve pain for me. I continued the Gaba after no more need for prescribed strong medication, and had minimal to no nerve pain. This medication can also help some people with anxiety. My hope is that maybe my experience will be helpful to others.
