More post surgery questions and concerns

Hi again all. Just a few more questions and concerns I have.  I am 5 days PO (7 Mar).  One thing I have noticed is my heart rate, which is consistently normally 66, has been around 54-55.  I am also still very weak/fatigued/tired. I haven't taken any pain meds other than motrin for two days now. I have moments of feeling shaky and dizzy too. All of this isn't anything I cant handle but I am wondering if most of this sounds normal? I have been trying to call my surgeons nurse all day but I am thinking she must be on leave because I normally get right ahold of her. My stomach has also been very bloated  since I came out of surgery as well, anyone have this?  I am getting a little bit of anxiety from the out of it feeling, I thought by now I would be fairly clear minded.  Thanks again!

Worth checking medically, and also these may be lingering effects of anesthesia, which can persist for awhile.

It usually takes about a week for each hour of anesthesia, before you lose that weird hungover feeling. The bloating can come from a sluggish GI system due to pain meds - if that is a problem Miralax can be helpful.

Ok, good to know that it is most likely the anesthesia. I had no idea the effects could last this long. I came out of it a little bit this afternoon and have felt better than I have felt thus far...feeling positive now Thanks ladies

Odds are really good that everything is okay, Mckaylaleigh. Keep noticing, ask questions here and elsewhere, and (to the extent that you can), try not to stress. Now is an important time to take care of yourself. More water than you'd think, more protein, and some periods of easy walking may help.

I am actually doing much better, even went to the grocery store yesterday, but it did take everything out of me.  Hubby goes back to work tomorrow, not looking forward to that!
