Free Tram Flap: How does losing some of your muscle affect you?

My PS says I may not have enough fat for a DIEP, so I might have a Free Tram Flap. I'm afraid of it affecting me structurally as far as my abdominal area goes. Those of you who have gotten a Free Tram Flap, to what degree is your abdominal area affected by this procedure, as far as strength, muscle function? Thank you.
