Relationship between KI-67 and triple negative?

I just changed oncologists and my new MO said that typically triple negatives show a KI-67 of 50-60%. Mine was 15%, which she indicated was pretty unusual and made her wonder if I am truly triple negative.

Anyone know anything about this?

Hi WinningSoFar...not sure about a low KI67.

I'm triple negative and my KI67 score was 72%.

MO wants to do a biopsy if another hotspot shows up and verify the pathology.

I went to a triple negative seminar w an oncologist last week. She said most TNBC are high ki67 and grade 3, but a minority are low grade/low ki67. She said she has treated some of those patients w an anti androgen blocker. Androgen receptors are not part of the standard pathology report, but they can test for it. I have no idea whether this applies to your situation, but thought I'd share

Thanks, placid, I'll add that to my list of MO questions. What is strange with me is that I have a low KI-67 and am grade 3. How does that make sense?

My ki-67 is 10% ?? I'm interested in what you find out. I know having a low ki-67 means the cells aren't dividing as quickly. But your cells since your

a grade 3 means they are poorly differentiated.
