edited March 2016 in Just Diagnosed With a Recurrence or Metastasis

Stage one breast cancer five yrs ago, multifocal dz. Recently with breast MRI and uptake on ribs. Now Pet and bone scan have uptake that looks like metastatic dz. Looking for therapist in San Diego County. Can anyone help? The online therapy is so vast I have no idea where to find a reputable therapist

    Sorry- I have no advice, but will bump this in hopes that someone else comes along. I hate that you are facing a recurrence. Sucks. Just sucks.

    You might post again on the stage iv threads as I know many of the ladies are from Ca.

    You might try asking the nurse navigator in the breast care clinic if she has any suggestions and sometimes the social workers in the cancer center can either help you through a rough patch and/or provide referrals. Good luck finding someone you click with as well as in dealing with your recurrence.

    So sorry that you are dealing with a reoccurrence. The social worker at your cancer center should be able to help you, mine did and called me with a list of referrals.

    I would look for a cancer center affiliated with a university; they would likely have someone on staff. I am sorry you are dealing with this.
