Rash?

Hey Everyone,

Background, my wife has BC and is on this chemo protocol:

So over the last week she has had a rash on her wrists. Over the evening her rash got worse and is now so itchy that she wants to peel her skin off. Its mostly on her forearms and hand, but also a patch on her back near her arm pit. Her hands are also swollen, not huge but noticiable. She is going to get a hold of the doc/hospital today to discuss but I was wondering if anyone could help fill me in. Is this a common side effect? Anything we can do?

Hi Cory,

While I am not on that same treatment as your wife, I would suggest that she contact her oncologist's office and let them know what's happening. My first guess would be some type of allergic reaction. Hope you're able to get an answer from them soon so that your wife won't be so uncomfortable.
