    This is big news.

As part of the White House | Precision Medicine Initiative (PMI), the National Institutes of Health (NIH) announced the "PMI Cohort Program". This landmark research study that will expand our understanding of ways we can improve health and treat disease. It hopes to enroll 79,000 volunteers by the end of 2016, toward what it hopes will be a one-million-patient "precision medicine" study of the genetic causes of diseases.

Anyone in the U.S. can participate!

    Are you kidding me?

I'm all over this like a hobo on a ham sandwich, especially if they offer "full genome sequencing" of volunteers DNA.

Yes - I'm all for joining up for DNA samples and patient hx information. We need to watch now for when enrollment becomes available for participants. Previously I had contributed blood and tumor sample to some breast cancer genetics/pathology. However, my results and study data were "secret" and for research only not to be shared with the participants. Hope it helped....
