If anyone has read any of my prior posts, it was probably very apparent that I was freaking out. Especially because of the grade 3 comedo necrosis part of my DCIS. I was so worried about finding something invasive. My biopsy pathology seemed really scary to me. Had crazy stuff in it like "cancerization of the lobes" which caused me many worrisome moments. Well, had my lumpectomy 2 days ago and just heard from my surgeon.....CLEAN MARGINS, PURE DCIS! I am so relieved. Now comes radiation but I am just so happy the sh*t is out of me!!!!!!!

    Kkbusky- That is great news! I, too had Grade 3 with comedonecrosis on my biopsy and worried they would find an invasive component. In fact I cried so hard out of relief when they called me with results after my BMX. Take it all one step at a time.

    I am trying to not worry so much about my grade 3 comedonecrosis but being that mine is larger than 7cm it is really hard to not worry.  I honestly didn't realized that 1 cm could be grade 3, I thought that usually came with the larger DCIS. It has definiltey been one of the things I struggle most with.  Still trying not to freak out though!
