I finished my rads on Friday!! Woohoo!! 28 treatments and 6 boosts. I did really well until probably the 20th treatment where the burned skin started to come off and ooze. They tried taping my breast up for the treatments because I was burning under my breast but then the tape took off skin too. I'm glad it's done!! just wore a bra today for the first time in two weeks. I'm healing nicely, they said I would after the whole breast radiation was done and they were right.

I know it sounds like it was really awful but I feel blessed to have had a couple of people at work to talk to and I read a lot on this forum and kind of knew what to expect, it helped a lot. You have all guided me thru my treatments and calmed my fears more than you could possibly know. When I was first diagnosed I was terrified to say the least. So many people describing their problems and so many others helping and talking them thru it. I didn't need to ask questions because it was all already here.

I am grateful for your openness and frankness, your wittiness and kindness, your tears and cheers. It helped me keep my sanity and increased my knowledge about breast cancer a hundred percent. You are all beautiful and awesome and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
