Didnt ask questions! !!!

so far I've had three ultrasound guided biopsys negative. Dr was still concerned he didn't come out with a good enough sample of an area of concern on left breast. He did a mammogram guided vacuum biopsy . He called me Thursday, when I was waking into hospital to say goodbye to best friend of 34 years dad , and said I had stage 0 cancer. Told me I had to come in this Wednesday to get a deeper biopsy then meet with surgeon a week from Friday. I was so caught off guard I said ok and didn't ask any questions. I'm home now and it's sinking in. What am I suppose to ask? I feel like I can't breath.

Hi Scared.

Stage 0 is also known as DCIS. Which is cancer that is not invasive

The first question I would ask is "What grade" and "what kind/ form are the cells"

Hi, Scared. Sorry you've had to have so many biopsies. It sounds like your doctor has been very thorough and your cancer has been caught very early. Stage 0 cancer not only has not left the breast, it has not even spread outside of the milk ducts/lobules into the rest of the breast tissue. There is a lot of good information on this site.
