Is IPL hair removal safe?

I had a couple of lymph nodes removed from under my arm 3 1/2 years ago during my lumpectomy. I've been very careful about not having my blood pressure taken or blood drawn from that arm, but now I'm wondering if I did something really dumb. I had IPL hair removal and now have a pea-sized lump under that arm. Anyone know if this will subside or should I see my doctor? Thanks!
