Something i am learning fast about is to not get trapped into searching for data. I tend to grip onto negative things and spiral from there and there tends to be a lot

Let us stick to our trusted own surgeon and nurses and stop the constant over thinking because no one on here can really answer anything about our situations and conditions

    Hi Supportive.

Oh if it were that easy when women (and sometimes men) come here and freaking out. :) In all the years I have been here (2004), I have learned to take each person individually based on what they say in their posts. Many of us who have been down this road really do know a lot in terms of layperson's experience, and have much of value that can be very helpful.

The more one learns and experiences when it comes to BC worries, the more one can see what I call the "no flag", "yellow flag" "orange flag" and "red flags" that the newbies bring.

It's why this particular forum exists. To help, share, encourage, and even kindly, but firmly rebuff, if need be.

What you are seeing and what you have too experienced is the result of what many of us called the effects of "pink washing". That we are taught from a very young age, *check your breasts, find a lump and get it checked out* etc etc.

What we were never taught was something just as important. MOST things, especially when one is young, are not cancer.

i know its easy to say

I am guilty as anyone for freaking out and i am still in the cycle

But i do find personally that i tend to fuel my own fire into a raging volcanoe from seeking peace with the situation
