Any other NZ/Wellington people waiting?

Just wondering if there are other NZ women on here who might like to share how they found the communication and process of biopsy to result? If DX then how fast did things happen?

I hear stories about results given in two days, a week tops, here in Wellington we are told 7 to 10 working days which is a long wait time... I know tests can take a while and it depends on work loads however if you have a serious IBC then it seems like a crazy wait?

I'm not from Wellington, but from north of auckland. I can't really remember how long it takes for results. It varies, depending on what kind. Usually you end up waiting till next time you see your oncologist or surgeon anyway.

It is definitely hard waiting.... I find distraction is good. Keep busy!

I am from Auckland. I had a corebiopsy done on Tuesday afternoon and had results back to my medical centre Friday afternoon. I contacted them myself to check as they are pretty useless with communication!

Things in akld move faster then wgtn. Perhaps there are more pathology labs and so on as wellington i believe has one servicing the whole region. An fna biopsy or core for example takes 7 to 10 working days
