hi guys! forgive me for making another thread...

my mother is about to get some platinum chemo before surgery. she has T2N1M0 cancer with BRCA-1 mutation and ER:+ PR:+ HER2:- Ki67:60% (details in this thread)

I'd like to hear if anybody here has got platinum as neoadjuvant treatment in similar case?

From what I've read so far it seems most of platinum therapy is given in case of triple-negative cancer which is often BRCA-1 related. But ER+/PR+ BRCA-1 is quite rare combination. While there are some recent studies of carboplatin for BRCA, I'm not very sure if they are statistically reliable/finished and proposed as primary type of treatment in this case...

Any information on carboplatin/cisplatin chemo or BRCA-1 will be helpful - your own experience from taking platinum, links to studies, etc.

I'd also would be happy to hear of any alternative treatments in similar cases...

thanks in advance,

Anton
