Hi there! I was on the Worried board but I'm feeling less worried and more curious now.

Last week I had a rash, freaked out thinking it was IBC, and what I thought to be a lymph node popped up out of nowhere under my arm. Well the rash has faded a lot, but there is still a lump under my arm. It's in the breast tissue, not the armpit, and while I assumed it was a lymph node, I'm starting to have second thoughts. Not to be gross but it sort of feels like a fat, firm, mealworm. It's not round like a cyst, and it's not really bean shaped like a lymph node would be. It's much longer than it is thick. About 3 fingertips long, and half a fingertip thick. I feel another hard lump next to it, but it feels the same, just not the same shape.

Could this be breast fibrosis? I did have two miniscule cysts that were being monitored for a year in that general location (9-12:00 region) but one disappeared and the other remained stable. They were far too deep in the tissue to feel (according to the doctor) but this one is much higher and easy to feel, sometimes through my shirt.

It popped up totally out of nowhere, and my period isn't due for about a week BUT since I had my daughter sometimes it just shows up whenever it wants, even on day 21 of my 28 day cycle.
