Hair is growing in like a balding old man--do I keep buzzing?

My hair started growing in with the typical down fluff around the ears and around the back of the head. I had hubby shave it off when it got strange-looking. Now it's back to that and then some--dark hair around the ears and wrapping around the back of my head... but almost nothing other than colorless stubble at the top along with a few patches that are pretty much bare.

Please tell me this stops and it will eventually grow in properly. Until then, I feel like it's almost better to shave it off again rather than looking like an unkempt old man!

(I'm just finishing up Taxol either this week or next, since that's probably relevant.)

If you have another infusion or two of Taxol to go, keep in mind it will take your follicles a bit of time to recover. Lots of us had weird, old-man stubble towards the end of Taxol. It takes a while for those to go away and real hair--the stuff we WANT to grow out--to come back. Good luck!

So I'm not crazy for shaving it off in the meantime? It just looks so pathetic right now.

Shave away. Just be aware that if you're going through chemo, you might want to avoid small nicks in your skin that could get infected. A buzz cut might be a better option than actually shaving.

I just have my husband use his electric razor, so it's not down to the skin anyway.
