is anyone else suffering from really bad muscular pain and achyness. I'm on my third dose dense taxol and have had really bad pain in my legs for nearly two weeks now, usually it goes by the end of the first week.

Just wondering when you finish treatment how long it lasts for? My last one is my Tuesday and I hoping it doesn't go on for too long, as it's currently stopping me from exercising properly, due to my legs being too weak. Thanks

Hi! I'm also having the same issues and wondering how long it last after finishing Taxol. I just finished 12 rounds last Tuesday. The pain and fatigue is my biggest complaint.. I'm so ready to feel better and be myself. I'm wondering since you finished taxol, how have you been and how your body is recovering?

I did 4 rounds of dose dense Taxol. The bone and muscle pain for me was excruciating and debilitating. I did not take Neulasta for the final two rounds due to bone pain, but it didn't make much of a difference. I completed chemo in mid Sept 2015 and Onc did not want me to start AI therapy until side effects from chemo had abated. Was not able to start Letrozole until mid Nov, but that was short lived. Stopped first week in Jan due to debilitating joint and muscle pain. Just decided it wasn't worth it. Hope you both fair better than I did.

TexJerseyGirl, we are so sorry for what you have been going through with the pain. Have there been other AI's that you would want to try?

Thanks Mods, but not really. It never came up in discussions with the Onc. He wanted me to take a break from Letrazole for 6 weeks then try again. If I wasn't able to tolerate it a second time we could try Tamoxifen. Approaching 6 weeks now, am finally feeling good again. Just don't want to go back to that kind of pain. I've done enough of my own research to know that there are no known effective treatments for AI pain and fatigue. And not interested in trying Tamoxifen either. No desire to trade one set of SEs for another. I applaud those who choose to suffer through it, but I cannot.
