feels like a curse/4th generation

jan 19th diagnosed with breast cancer felt like i gor hit in my stomach and all the wind was knocked our of me. Second opinion but it still stood as it was CANCER. Depression&anxiety are my two best friends right now!!!

    I'm sorry about your dx. I don't know it is harder being the 4th generation or the first, it all stinks.

    hi - I relate and think it is especially shocking when you see multiple relatives in your family with cancer because you don't just live through your disease but experience through your relatives. Sometimes it feels like you re-live a nightmare over and over again. You also feel strangely different from the rest of the world Mom had breast cancer and dad had thyroid cancer -- both died in their mid 50s within four years of each other. Sister dx with breadt last year and now I have breast -- mine may be stage 4. My husband is one year post treatment for aggressive lymphoma. It is hard to explain all of this to my son. Hope this ends with our generation. All we can do that, just like everyone else with bc, to keep moving on. Depression and anxiety are not unexpected but get help when you need.
