waiting for biopsy results and a nervous wreck

I noticed a lump in my right breast on Sunday when I was taking a bath. Then I noticed that there was redness and warmness on that area. I was able to get an appt yesterday with gyno. he said it looked/felt like a cyst and made an apt for me with a general surgeon who would do the ultrasound and aspirate it if necessary.

I went this morning for the general surgeon visit and he did an ultrasound, then tried to drain the cyst (if that is what it is) He couldn't drain it so he took some biopsy samples to see if its an infection or a mass of some type. I should get results on Friday or Monday, but I am freaking out.

Spunky, nice to meet you. And welcome! Try to relax until you get your results. I know how hard that is to do. Just put it on the back burner for now, and focus on everyday things. The week will DRAG by if you don't! Just relax you will know soon. Hugs to you!

My doctor just called and said that all the samples were benign! The inflammation and heat has gone away over the past week and the lump seems to be shrinking. If the lump doesn't completely go away, then we'll probably remove it. I have an annual visit to the gyn next week so i'll get more info then.
