not sure what you are asking here. If you are asking if you should skip radiation after lumpectomy for 3.2 cm tumor, I would say that is very, very risky, but ultimately you have to make the best decision for you, that you can live with no matter what the outcome.

    RARASE,

Still here? I did. I skipped radiation.

It's 18 months later and I have a new tumor in the same spot as the lumpectomy and lymph node cancerous growth still to be tested for possible metastasis.

If I could go back 18 months and choose radiation, I would choose radiation.

I am really very anti-chemo and my surgeon was ok with my details and that decision, but I am not anti-radiation and I should have done it.

I didn't have radiation first time around either and I regret it - though ended up not my choice in the end. Doc's said with clear margins and no nodes (granted after neo-adjunct chemo) that there was nothing left to radiate. HA. Here I am 3 1/2 yrs later with recurrence in the axillary nodes. 10/14. Surgeon thinks she got it all but here we go again - this time radiation followed by chemo. Day one of radiation was a breeze btw....maybe a little premature as I have 29 to go! Slathered on my Aquaphor and walked 20 minutes at the gym immediately after appt. Most other days I still plan on going 2 - 3 miles. Walking and jogging my way out of this one if I can....

7of9, I had WBR, axillary lymph nodes, supra clavicle nodes and intra mammary nodes radiated. All very doable but make sure you put the lotion or aquafor on your shoulder and really cover your under arm and under your breast. Under arm and under breast were the hardest hit for me. Sorry about the recurrence ladies. I think we all fear that very thing but don't look back with regret. Look forward to kicking cancer's butt!

7of9, I exercised all throughout rads too, and despite having a pretty bad reaction to rads, it healed quickly and I did a half marathon 11 days after finishing. I walked part of it, which was my plan, nad how I trained. but..........I did it. Exercising each day gave me a mental focus other than just rads.
