Scar tissue!!!

I was diagnosed in November 2015..I had a lumpectomy surgery with 1large lymph node removed.. Will start radiation next week.. But I am seeking advice on the big hard lump that I am assuming is scar tissue.. How long will it be there? Will it go away on its own? Do I massage it? Heeeellllpp😂

    Hi. Get your surgeon to look at it. We can support you, but have no way to really be reassuring about it.

    I had a big thick scar as big as a tv cable where my ANLD was. Surgery was very end of Oct. - it's gone now. Looks better everyday.

    Call your Surgeon. Questions about anything unusual should be addressed to your Dr or his/her PA or RN - sooner rather than later. Be sure that the Rads Dr (Radiological Oncologist) is aware of it before starting rads.

    No one here can tell you what is going on or what it 'means' - only your Dr(s) can.

    It could very possibly be a seroma which occurs with some frequnecy in women who go through a lumpectomy. A seroma is a collection of fluid whoch tries to fill the space where the tumor was removed. Have your surgeon and radiologist check it out. They will probably be able to easily identify what it is
