Being very strongly encouraged to have Radiation after BMX

Hi,

I wanted to see what other's experience has been as this is very frustrating for me.

In April I was diagnosed with Invasive Lobular cancer. I was told immediately that I'd need a BMX. Bad news, but am told will be on neoadjuvant hormones to shrink and kill tumors. I was made to wait 6 months. To make a long story short, I asked my team for more detailed testing of my lymph nodes; I felt they were missing something, I was assured they were OK and moved forward in planning a nipple sparing straight to implant surgery. I already suffer with chronic pain and the risk/benefit ratio better be damned high for me to consider full breast radiation on an implant surgery 4 months old.

I wasn't told until 3 weeks after BMX that I had a sentinel node with micromets. Then another surgery and 3/22, all micromets. Lobular cancer doesn't respond well to Standard chemo and spreads quickly, so the tumors are contained or far beyond my arm.

And pain has already been stealing my life for some time. I can't handle more damage I can't recover from. My Plastic Surgeon was against radiation, and the other Dr's make me feel like I'm the one making poor decisions when they were the one's not doing enough testing and I just followed their advice and treatment decisions until after surgery.

Does anyone with a similar profile feel they benefited from this much rad to
