Scarf & hat party

Options

I have a friend offering to throw a scarf party before I lose my hair, and while I would appreciate a variety of scarves and hats, I am not up for a party. Has anyone heard of somehow doing an online party?

Just heard today that a friend is planning one for me also. Here is a thought, what about making an Amazon Wish list and giving your friend access to it. This way you can pick out what you like and they simply order the item and it ships directly to you. I use this for gifts for our kids/grandkids who live out of state. Win-win both ways!

Many years ago when a friend was starting chemo, a group of friends took up a collection and presented it to her in a card which we all signed. She was thrilled and she got to pick out what she wanted.

Great advice from the others! If you really don't want a party, then you should find a kind way to express that while you really appreciate the support, and generosity, you may not feel up for a party at the current time. Friends and family will understand. The others have provided great alternatives for your loved ones to support you, without a party. Good luck, and welcome to Breastcancer.org.
