Starting Chemo in February 2016?

itchy, watery eyes, runny nose, cough is back....seems when my steroids run out of my system this is what I get. Took longer this time I guess because of the triple dose of steroids. I have a week of this to look forward to. I try not to take clariton because I use it with the neulasta shot- some days I do though. I do use the drops for dry eyes and it helps them to stop watering but they are still sore. I've never had allergies but I quit smoking in July -never had a cough when I smoked- and have had allergy/cold symptoms since then.
Had the worst heartburn this round too. 2 left! Have to keep reminding myself!
Val, I would just bring your mom in after. Hopefully she will be okay with it.
-
Hey Val, Wow, you've been down since last Monday? Is your Taxol weekly? Yikes, if it is. Hoping for great days ahead.
Karen, I got heartburn big time with AC#3. I didn't even know what it was--felt like a hangover or something. PeptoB worked great. But, no fair getting new, additional SEs, right? Hang in, only 2 more!
Went to see my daughter bellydance with her class tonight--she was awesome, they were all awesome. #proud. It was good to get out even though I wasn't 100%. I went with a cap instead of wig and ran into old friend...no questions asked and that was great.
-
reflect, i'm dose dense and that was my last one. I had all kinds of se's.
love bellydancing. I also love the fact you got no questions. It's nice just to be present and not have to explain bc, side effects, chemo, or hear stories of how their cousins sisters friend had it, and you ask how they are doing and they are dead.
-
hausfrau- I love my Bosch! I've renovated a few houses and always have a Bosch. They are a true workhorse.
Reflect- I'd bring your mom in at the end. You may get nervous with her there and not ask everything that you want to. My exhaustion is also cumulative with AC. No surprise there. I had my last one last Tuesday, powered through this past weekend with traveling and lacrosse games and slept until 10:30 today

I'm now s Wednesday girl. Lungs are clear. Pathology urgently looked for by oncology for my stomach and esophagus.

Way to go Chambo, hope you have no SE this round. My last one was my easiest
-
Congrats Chambo! Piper, so glad your lungs are clear, hoping same is true for the stomach and esophagus. Hang in.
Stressed out Monday trying to get to MO appt on time, got into heavy traffic....no appointment. Huh? Not til 5/16. Whoops. Chemo brain?
#4 AC coming up Thursday. I will be glad to see the back of that.
-
congrats Chambo!!!!!!!!!!!
-
congrats Chambo
-
Chambro- CONGRATS!!!🎉
Piper- still in your pocket!💕
-
Fabulous Chambo, well done. You'll soon be feeling so much better now that's behind you! I have one more and can't wait to get it done..... What's next for you? Are youhaving surgery or radiation? XX
-
awesome chambo!
I am a chemo failure lol... I successfully completeted my 4 AC treatments and 1 Taxol. The past month has been a nightmare trying to get my blood work numbers high enough to do anything. Needless to say, Monday they finally got high enough! Yay! Dr. Feels the taxol would be more fatal to pursue. We need to take the AC that I successfully had and move forward to hormone therapy and radiation. So, I guess my chemo is done!
This has been such a difficult road with many unexpected speed bumps. I am off to learn more about tomoxifin....
Blessings to all,
Elizabeth

TMI post ahead:
Diarrhea on Day 2 of 4th TC is horrible and this is a first for me. Normally this doesn't happen until day 5 or 6. Im hoping this doesn't last long. Did anyone experience their stomach being this upset so soon after their infusion?
-
Imani
I did on my 2nd taxol. I'm dose dense but had terrible bowel trouble for the first 4 days.
-
Thanks! I hope it is short lived. I did have a huge fruit salad this morning so that may have contributed as well.
-
congrats Chambo and Elizabeth!!🎉🎉
In your pocket tomorrow reflect;)
-
congrats Chambo and Elizabeth!
This was a really hard recovery this time but I'm finally feeling better and getting ready for #5 out of 6.
Last chemo is the end of May. I can't believe it's almost May! I am so looking forward to this part being over with.
-
Congrats Chambo!
Piper - thinking of you.
#4 Was a tough one as the fatigue was long, lots of stomach issues - so the MO has decided to remove the Perjeta and dose reduce by 10%. He said that I should not be bedridden for so many days. So really hoping that #5 on Monday goes much better. And as if going through all of this wasn't enough, my fantastic husband has been found to be on online dating websites! 11 years of Marriage!! great person~ So on my good days I am meeting with divorce attorney's. Sometimes I wonder how much God can put on a person.
-
Arghhh Fran what can I say. That is terrible news. Sending you hugs, love, healing thoughts and hope that this is resolved for quickly so that you can move on. It's the last thing you need at a time like this. I'm so so sorry. I believe that you'll come out on the other side stronger, wiser and cancer free. Just try to hold that thought. xxxxxxxxx
-
