Tamoxifen when?

When did you start taking tamoxifen after mastectomy? I am a month post surgery but had complications because of a seroma, worried that is delaying starting treatmen

Everyone is different and It depends on your own personal treatment plan.

For myself, I had a lumpectomy last month and this coming week, I will begin radiation. Once radiation is complete, I will start on Tamoxifen.
In my situation, Tamoxifen is the last step.

I can not wait to start treatment!!! this seroma complication delayed everithing, my oncologist told me it is ok to wait up to 2 months post surgery to start treatmentbut I feel I am sitting here doing nothing

I understand. My lumpectomy was on December 10th. From then until now, I've been sitting around, waiting to start treatment.
Obviously, the most important part, (getting the cancer OUT!), is done....but I still feel restless and want to begin. (Mostly, so I can get it over with....LOL!)

Trust your doctors. They are giving your body time to heal, which is much needed. You want to go into your treatments with your body strong!
