Tingling in fingers and hands after TE fill

I just had my third TE saline fill yesterday and my fingers (especially tips) and back of my hand are tingly and a little numb. The same thing happened after my second fill. My PS thought it was coincidence and likely not related to the fill. However, now that it has happened again after a fill, I believe it must be related. Most sites do not list this as a side effect of TE fills. Has anyone else experienced this? Does it subside? Thanks.

I had tingling in my arms and hands. I did about a month of PT and I think it really helped. My PT did something called a nerve cleanse and it really made a difference.

JenBois- It happened to me once and a friend of mine experienced the same thing. Both of our doctor's seemed to think it was nerve related.

Trailrose - Thank you, I feel a little better knowing this has happened to others. The tingling has gone away for now. I have another fill on Tuesday so I'm not sure if it will happen again. It's not too bothersome but more makes me nervous in regards to worsening or loss of function.

Thanks for the info FarmerLucy. Hopefully, the tingling is gone for good but if not I will definitely look into the therapy you mentioned.

JenBois- Make sure to consult with your PS about it! That's good that it went away.

Update: I had my fourth TE fill yesterday morning. So far so good, a little numbness in my right index finger but my whole hand was not affected this time as it was on previous two fills.

Hi! I am sorry to hear about your numbness and tingling after you TE filled. However, I was relieved to stumble upon this post! I had a PBMX with tissue expanders on Dec 8, 2015. I'm now about 6-7 weeks out and have had a few fills on my expanders. My last one was two days ago on Wednesday. I am almost completely done with my fills and following this last fill of 100ml on my left side I have numbness and tingling down the inside of my left arm. Today it is now in my finger tips as well. I spoke with the nurse at the plastic surgeons office and she said to continue stretching my arm. As the day has gone, the numbness and tingling is worse. Motor function is fine on my affected arm. The right arm is filled to the same size and has no numbness. My tissue expander on my left side, he side I'm having numbness is definitely more laterally placed and further into my armpit. He said at the time of my implant exchange he will have to move it over more midline. I will call the office again tomorrow morning to let them know the numbness and tingling from my armpit to fingershas worsened and not gotten better.

My question for you all is has anyone had a tissue expander be too lateral ( too much into the armpit ) that it had to be repositioned? I'm a bit concerned that I've had numbness for two days that is worsening despite stretching and taking their recommended Valium at night to see if it resolves. I'm relatively small chested. I was a 34 A to a small B before surgery. I am at the end of my fills at 300ml in each side. If the numbness doesn't resolve what can I expect will happen next?

    Thank you so so much!

    Sara
