I have been receiving Fulvestrant for several years. I have numbing on the outside of my upper left thigh and parts of my lower right leg. I am wondering if anyone else has numb spots, possibly from the needles?

Parts of the soles of my feet and parts of the two left fingers on both hands have been numb-ish for nearly two years. A neurologist and rheumatologist could not determine why. My oncologist insists it cannot be caused by the Faslodex.

    Quijong,

Thank you so much for posting this! I guess I am not crazy after all. After my June shot, my left outer hip and thigh have felt numb and weirdly painful like a bad bruise when touched. Never had that feeling before the shot and it hasn't changed a bit since that day.

Hope Faslodex will keep us doing well even if we get a little numb in the process. Thank you again for posting this, and welcome to this forum.

My doc told me outer thigh numbness is common. When I asked if it happened from one particular shot or over a period of time, she said, "I have seen both." There is a spot on my right outer thigh where I cannot feel a thing.

Also, I went to a chiropractor, and, in doing a pain/sensitivity test, he pressed on the back of my thighs. Both are very sensitive and feel exactly like touching a bruise. I said the same thing.

I have had a back and brain MRI. No one can determine the cause of the numbness. My doctor cannot attribute my numbness to Fulvestrant; however, she will not say it is not possible. I don't think anyone truly knows.
