Breathlessness and chest pain on pactaxel (taxol)

I currently switched from AC to pactaxel (taxol) two weeks ago. I have mild asthma which is kept under control, but the past week I've noticed bouts of breathlessness and chest pain which I never had before, but currently comes and goes. I mentioned it to my oncologist yesterday but as its not always there, she said to monitor. However when I saw the nurse at the chemo clinic she advised to go to ER because of potential blood clots. It's not like out of control breathlessness, but it seems to be more persistent. Any advice?

Call your facility NOW? Or got to ER. Sooner better than later.

I second what Kicks suggested. This is very important and I think your onc is not concerned enough.

Thanks everyone! I went to ER this afternoon and got a heart test, chest X-ray and blood test- the results all came back negative, which is great. Doc said it was due to change of pactaxel and most likely a side effect, which although hard going, is a big relief 😀 You're all totally right though, no point waiting around, we must get these things checked out.
