Waiting to see if chemo is needed.... A bit worried about that decision. I did a calculation on getting breast cancer to begin with and it was 2% sooooo I was unlucky enough to fall in that category... So when they start throwing chemo percentages at me...
plus there are the side effects.
Thanks for your kind words in advance

Why no oncotype? I (and my doctors) found my results very useful in the chemo v no chemo decision. In fact, my OC refused to make a recommendation until she had the results of the oncotype testing back.

STILL waiting for oncotype. Hopefully will be back next week. But then it gives risk as I had a two percent chance of getting BC in the first place...

I get it now. Hopefully the results will be fairly clear cut (not the dreaded middle range). The waiting is difficult, but I found the decision pretty easy to make once I had the results. Actually, with my score neither oncologist I saw was willing to give me chemo even it I'd wanted it. The test clearly said chemo would not be of use in my case. Other times it shows chemo is clearly indicated. As with all our tests the waiting can just about drive you crazy but until you get the results there isn't much that can be done in terms of making a good and informed choice. Sorry I can't be of more help. Hang in there the best you can.
