I could find another place to put this. I would like to suggest to the moderators to add a topic for Cognitive Impact on the Side Effects area.

Anyway, my chemo brain is really bad. It is incredibly frustrating to me. I want to get treatment and am looking for a neuropsych in my area to do an evaluation. I have heard about some programs to help with this. Has anyone gone through brain retraining type of program

    Hi jlstacey --

Thanks for your suggestion. We'd suggest that the Chemotherapy - Before, During and After forum is sufficient to start a thread about Cognitive Effects of Chemo. If you'd like we can move this thread there -- please just let us know!

I'd second the suggestion for a separate forum. There can be cognitive issues from tamoxifen too

Actually, I have to disagree with the Mods. If pain and lymphadema are thought significant enough for separate forums, I would think chemo brain is as well. There are various issues related to it and it manifests in different ways. I would think if you poll the membership here they would want the forum. Mine is significant enough, especially when it comes to memory loss, that I am wondering if I have very early onset Alzheimers. It scares me more than the cancer did.
