I have been having LD & message every 1-2 months for past 10 years for fibromyalgia & overall mental/physical wellness with a wonderful therapis/aromatherapist locally who is also a dear friend who has offered to come to my house to do LD while I am recuperating from DBX scheduled next Tuesday, 1/12.

Anyone have any idea how soon after DBX I can have her do some light LD (obviously after drains are removed) and when I can resume full massage.

Thanks.

Hi Balthus! Your surgeon should be able to help you make that decision. My massage therapist wouldn't do any kind of massage after my BMX. While I missed my Swedish massages, she was right to refuse. I had 23 nodes removed and wound up with LE in both arms! Even though no nodes had been removed from my right, I still have LE in my right side as well! My LMT who has been through LE lymphatic drainage massage certification is the only one who does my LD. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Susa

Thank you for your reply. I did hear back from my BS today and she said I could have LD a month after surgery.
