CHEK2 mutation- did you do radiation?

I tested positive for the CHEK2 mutation. I'm supposed to start radiation on Wednesday. I did have positive lymph nodes, sadly. Anyway since the CHEK2 gene is supposed to repair DNA damage, and this mutation doesn't have it do its normal job- AND radiation causes DNA damage. I worry about doing radiation. I wish there were some concrete studies. Sadly, its just not that common here in the US, so not a lot is really known about it- except the other cancers that tend to be associated with it.

I have a VUS in CHEK2. I did radiation, but I pretty much had no choice because it was a recurrence after BMX.
