Hi Chevy! Did you all thaw out yet? Love the picture. I would have taken a picture first too. :-) Did you get your lovely little garden settled and planted? It's so pretty and whimsical with your statues and flowers. Hi to all. Lots of love.

Morning Rosie! This is the craziest weather I can remember! But the warm sunny days just make it more fun...! I cover my Tomato plants every night... some-day I will remember that we DO get snow and freezing in the middle of April! Everything is sure turning green though, with all this moisture!

You doing okay? Hang in there "other little sister"!

    Last year..............

Rosy, hope your mood is better. Found some interesting plants I meant to post awhile back.

loveroflife, the golden flower is a protea. I was out photographing the related bottle brush last night and hoped to get a good shot for Rosevalley, but didn't succeed. Glad you covered the flowers.

Rosevalley, here are some water, trees and sky for you. The pond is full for the first time in four years of drought and I thank you for sharing the rain. I thank you too for being my friend...I think of you every day when I drain. I think of you as a beloved living at the edge of life friend. My life is so much better because of you, Rosevalley.

    Thank you!

    Very much loving kindness, Stephanie

RonnieKay, I am glad you like them :)

Stephanie, yes, it is a protea. Thank you! There is also a Pin Cushion protea that is just as lovely.

Rosevalley, just want to hug you for reaching out to the new lady with an autistic child. Who else knows what she is going through, but you and those who have walked in similar shoes? If our suffering equips us to help others, then it's not wasted. Jesus did say that in this world we will face trials and challenges. Suffering is a promise of life. "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33.

It would be nice if no one suffers though. I guess we will have to wait.

Rosevalley- thinking of you and hoping you are feeling well today. Posting some pics here from my backyard. One is an iris blooming for the first time. The other is a photo of two young doves who have taken up residence in my back yard. I have affectionately nicknamed them Jessie and Lake.

Loveroflife- Yes when I read her post my heart just ached because I KNOW what it's like. I have walked many miles in those shoes. I have also had coworkers whose marriages have failed because of the stress of a special needs child. Some special needs kids are very sweet and the journey is hard but not evil hard. Then there are those few kids who are non verbal, very destructive, busy and aggressive when their impulses are restricted. It can literally be a safety issue for parent and child. No one deserves to be hurt, bit and hit. There are special homes where staff are trained to deal with persons whose behaviors are challenging. There is no shame in admitting a child is out of your league and you can not parent them effectively or safely. It's ok to admit that and move them into an evironment where they can get what they need. I hope that Mom can find such a place.

I was walking my dog yesterday and it started to rain. We were hurrying to get back home. I started to walk past a neighbors fence just next to her driveway and she pulled into her driveway so fast she nearly mowed us down. When she opened the garage door to pull in, her dog barked and my dog spooked and pulled my arm. I lost my footing and fell in their driveway a real belly flop on the cement. It really hurt. My knee is banged up and with wide spread bone mets and being 57... I am so SORE!! I hurt everywhere. My neighbor who did this just stood in her garage and didn't even go out and try and help me out. I live 2 houses across the street from these folks Some man in a car stopped to ask if I was ok and I managed to get up and walk home. Nothing broken just sore. Note to self no falling on the cement at my age!! Rules to live by.

Thank you for all the wonderful pictures. I love them. I wish I had a Iphone so I could take pictures of my garden. It's so pretty.. rhodies and lenten roses. Irises and so many blooms.. violets in bunches. I will have to wait to weed until my knees heal. Chevy your garden is so sweet. I love the picture of the doves Jazzy. I love their sound.. cooing. Be well sisters. I thank you for your friendship.

Rose, I really hope that Momtakes your advise to seek help for her child. She passed the point of being overwhelmed.

I was afraid to read that you took another hit on a hard surface when I started reading about your walk with your dog. Aye yay yay Rose! It is so sad that your neighbor is heartless. How could a person be that cold? Unbelievable!! There has to be something wrong with her. I hope your drain was not affected by the fall. You took a great fall in November too right? I remember reading about it while we were on vacation. Thank God no broken bones this time either. The next time you see her, could you do this for me?

Rosie.... You want us to come out there...??? We could all rent a Limo, and go by your neighbor's house and Tee-Pee it some night!

That time I fell in the alley...(off that pole).... I could NOT get up! My DH was trying to lift me... I tried to pull myself up on his pants-legs, but my leg would not move! So some old guy at the end of the alley, was standing in back of his house, just LOOKING at us! I wasn't crying, just laying there.... Finally DH & I, got me up standing against him....

THEN a guardian angel came by! It was Steve, with his Dad, coming home from an appt! He pulled over, got his Dad in the house, and then used that wheel-chair to wheel me back down the alley, and into my car, and then to ER.... Someone was watching over us.... NOT like your brainless neighbor... She was probably worried you cracked her cement! I STILL think we need to do a midnight run!

You could sue her! Go by and ask if her home-owners insurance is current..... She is a Beeotch!

Jazzy, Rosie, do you know that doves mate for life? We have a pair nearby.

Here is my rose for Rose:

Rosevalley- I am so sorry about your fall. Does your neighbor know of your health issues? Maybe not. I would think she would be more careful and after seeing you go down like that, the human thing would be to see if you are okay? I hope you are recovered soon. Last thing you needed, right?

Mags- I did not know doves mated for life, but know many other species of birds do.

Here is a close up of my little cuties snuggling together yesterday before a storm moved in. They were out on the rocks in the yard today sunning themselves.

ohhhh Rosie, some people....EGR...extra grace required ...to bad there are so many of them.

I will tell you a nice story to revive your heart.

Today I was suppose to do a cancer walk. Got a few friends to sign up with me. I couldn't go today cause I am not at home in Chicago . In Michigan helping my daughter out. ( new baby).

The walk was at soldier field. Over an hour away from where I live. One of my friends drove there to represent me, with her 2 kids...10 and 7 years old to do the walk. Took a long time with the kids but she was determined to represent me. Made my heart swell. There are a lot of great people out there too :)

And Rosie, you are one of them :)
