Hello

My mother was recently diagnosed with triple negative stage 4 breast cancer

and is currently undergoing chemo which is leaving her too weak and frail. I was wondering if anyone has had a good experience with alternative treatment offered in Germany ?

I was also reading about Oasis of Hope in Mexico and wanted to ask if anyone can help me out with information.

Thank you so much

God Bless!

    glitz gal,

So sorry to hear about your mom. I know of one late bco member who went to Oasis of Hope. You might want to post your question on the alternative forum, as those members may have some experience with the alternative treatment clinics. Take care

    glitz gal,

I am sorry to hear about your mother. In the past I did extensive research on alternative clinics all around europe and mexico. They were all super expensive and there is this initial feeling that I had that there must be something different there that is not offered here. When I looked into it more I realized that virtually all of the therapies that are marketed as different there can be found at clinics here in Vancouver or in Seattle. One of the different therapies that intrigued me was loco-regional hyperthermia. Its very popular in Europe but few in Canada have it. I was going to get it at Yaletown Naturopathic Clinic in Vancouver because they have one of the most advanced ones but their integrative oncology doctor (Dr. Adam McLeod) said that it was not necessary for my case. There are also devices in Langley, BC and I think there is one in Calgary as well. Anyways, I would suggest that you look more carefully at some local integrative clinics before trying to get to Germany or Mexico (especially if your mother is frail). I hope this helps.

    Take care,

    Erina

Sorry to hear about your mom. Why Mexico if you have Cuba hand off and affordable for self-pays and uninsured? Because of US estrangement from Cuba most cancer patients may be unaware that Cuban cancer vaccines for  advanced cancers are among most efficient of its kind in the world in terms of life expectancy and quality. Have a look at www.doctorcuba.com for more.
