Underarm and shoulder ache on mascretomy side

Options

I'm currently on chemo, half way. I've just switched from AC to pactaxel. Within the last week whilst on AC, I've noticed an achey feeling just under my shoulder blade and underarm on my mascretomy and axillary node removal side. A bit concerned because it's been 3 months since surgery, and it seems a funny thing to put it down to that after all this time. The area is very slightly inflamed, so I'm not sure if it's the beginning of lymphodema or something more serious. Is it possible that Bc can process whilst on chemo? Think I'm being a little paranoid but I'm highly aware of any ache or pain now. The ache usually comes and goes and isn't persistent. I saw my oncologist yesterday who took a look but she didn't seem too concerned. There's no lump, so she didn't advise any tests. Said just to monitor

    Lottemarine,

I had an mx with recon, plus 2 revisions surgeries. I had pain between my shoulder blades and under my arm on and off for a couple months after each surgery. I worried about it the first time, but third time around I'm thinking its related to the surgery. I know that when your in surgery they can put you in some very weird positions, so I'm guessing that may be the reason. Hoping that's all yours is too.

I had the same thing and still do at times. I was told it could be several things. One is nerves trying to regrow extra slow because of AC. Two, taxo seems to settle into any old injury and make it hurt again. Three, could just be muscles tightening up and scar tissue. Anyway, definitely keep an eye on it.
