Cyst in Liver

Options

I am having an excisional biopsy on Dec. 29 for a suspicious papilloma. Something I've been thinking of lately, on my breast MRI in November the pathology report mentioned a cyst seen in my liver.

None of my doctors has addressed it; just seemed to kind of ignore it or not think it's unusual. I haven't pressed the issue but does anyone have advice for me or information about this type of finding? Anyone had this and pursued it; and if so, what was the outcome?

I'm not consciously thinking of it, it just comes up in my mind every now and then.

Many thanks!

Hello, I can tell you that my sister in law has Crohns disease and is more susceptible to colon cancer because of it. She had a scan one time and it showed "something" on her liver. We were in a panic. Turned out to be a cyst. Pretty common they say to have this on your liver. Hope this helps.

Liver and kidney cysts are very common. I have one seen on similar imaging and the doctors are not concerned at all about it.

My past 2 scans have shown "cysts" on my liver, makes me worry everytime! My MO assures me that cysts on the liver are common and nothing to be concerned with.

    tmb1,

I too had a liver cyst which showed up in a scan back in 2012. This was not a concern to my doctors at the time, and I did not pursue it further.

I have had recent CT scans, and there has been no mention of a cyst in the pathology reports. I assume it has now resolved itself.
