Stopping Tamoxifen--how long to get out of your system?

I have to take a short run of Tamoxifen for testing..... how long before any side effects to get out of the body? Do they linger? Thx.

    My onc said the drug only stays in your body for a day or so if you stop taking it. I guess the duration of side effects would depend on which ones, and the severity of the effect to begin with.
