Diagnosed on 6/15 IDC stage 1, 1c

Hello, I was diagnosed last June & have been on an emotional roller coaster since then. I had a lumpectomy 6/22/15. No lymph node involvement & clear margins. I had 6 rounds, of chemo, which ended 12/1. I'll have radiation this coming January 5 days a week for 4/5 weeks. I can't begin to say how many hurdles I had to jump till now.

Although I've finished the chemo, I still get quizzy every now & then & my taste buds are still on the fritz. I know, my body has been through the ringer but was wondering if anyone else is going through this. Waiting for my hair to start growing again & everything else to rehydrate, eyes, nose, nails, skin etc.

I'm a little nervous getting the rads & not looking forward to this part either. I'll be kept on Herceptin until August.Later, I'll be put on a bata blocker for 5 years. Of course, with every new mammogram, holding my breath like never before.

I'm sorry to see that you didn't get a reply to your first post back in August, before you started Chemo. But perhaps you can connect with your cohorts on both the Chemo and Radiation boards:

On the Chemo board, find the thread for those who started Chemo when you did. That should put you in touch with those who are at the same point in their treatment as you are.

The radiation board doesn't have monthly groups, but there is a "Winter 2015-16 RADS" thread. As well as additional threads with suggestions/advice for those just getting ready to start rads.
