Should I be worried about the lump under the arms ?

Options

My mother recently had a double mastectomy after she was diagnosed with an early-stage breast cancer. I've read and found out that lumps under the arm are quite normal. They're either fatty deposit or a benign cyst. However, hers have gotten quite hard. We're getting her checked up by a doctor soon but I just can't stop thinking about it and worrying. Is this something bad ? Should we be worried ?

Thank you for taking the time to read and answer. (Sorry, if there are spelling/grammar mistakes. English is my second language)

lumps that feel like a frozen pea are more worrisome than squishy ones. Scar tissue and cancer can feel the same though, so if the doctor is not 100% sure, ask for a biopsy
