Quality of life

Options

Merry Christmas to all. I have been diagnosed with stage 4 bc with mets to lungs, bones and liver in August of 2015. The uncertainty of it all is difficult. I just am wondering about how long I have to actually feel good. When will I start to not feel so good. I know no one knows exactly, but some rough estimates would help me. God bless you all in this fight for our lives.

    songsofpraise,

I'm sorry that you find yourself in this situation. Yes, the uncertainty is stressful. I think it's the one thing that effects all stage IV patients regardless of how far our disease has progressed. As to your question, there is simply no way to know when you will move from feeling well to not feeling well. I don't think a rough estimate is even possible as everyone's disease progression is different. Try to take it a day at a time and enjoy every little thing. Not easy, I know. I am over 4 years out and feel great. I don't waste time worrying about when I won't feel great, because I'll know it when it happens. Don't let worry over tomorrow steal your life today. Take care.

Dear xbrnxgrl, thanks for your reply. I am trying to appreciate each day and for the most part, I do. Just some days the uncertainty gets to me. Congrats on feeling great 4 years out. That gives me hope!
