Curious - different chemo regimens for early stage Er/Hr

Hi, I did Tac chemo in 2011 - 'third generation' six cycles.

I'm curious as to why so many are still doing AC-T with 12 weeks of Taxol. A much longer course.

Apart from the Taxotere versus Taxol toxicity issue, why do some docs still recommend more enduring/second generation chemos?

My MO finds that her patients are more likely to finish AC-T than some of the newer regimens. Many of her patients are older and physically fragile. (I swear, I'm always the youngest person in the chemo room and I'm 48.) Taxol is gentler than Taxotere, even if it means a longer treatment period.
