I read about cannabis oil killing cancer cells. Is this true? Has anybody used this before

Breezy, how do you mean "true" in this context? Some people really believe that it kills cancer. A few studies suggest (like this one, for example: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S209050681400027X ) that components of cannabis may have some action against cancer. But so far, there is no definitive, concrete, scientific evidence that cannabis oil will kill or cure cancer. However, cannabis as oil or smoked, vaped or eaten, can be extremely helpful for cancer patients in many ways. It can help with pain, lack of appetite, anxiety and insomnia.

Hi Breezy. There are several women on here who are using/have used the oil. Unfortunately, I don't have the where-with-all to dig up the links today. Please do a search with the terms below and it'll bring up a bunch of posts from various members and their experiences.

RSO, Rick Simpson, Phoenix Tears, CBD oil and like you mentioned in your post, Cannabis oil. There are many knowledgeable women on the subject. If you don't get replies to your questions, please pm them. They've always been happy to help.

Breezy, no, I have not used it myself. I do know some people who have tried it, but not anyone who had any definite results from it, other than the ones I mentioned, i.e. pain and nausea relief, better eating and sleeping. I do know several people who swear by it for pain relief and say that it is more effective and less debilitating than hardcore pain meds. This makes sense to me. Also, if someone has an advanced cancer and the cannabis helps the patient be more comfortable, eat better and have less pain, then it would not seem crazy to assume that this might help extend life, even if the cannabis oil does not have a direct or significant effect on the cancer itself.

it dries some too. I use organic hemp seed oil from canada. pretty cheap, a drop at a time on occasion

After seeing some discussion here, I decided to check research. Marijuana is now legal in my state (Oregon). I was concerned about it stimulating Estrogen positive cancer, but I read if you use CBD oil and make sure there's very little THC, you can benefit from the pain and cancer killing properties. I have no plans to do chemo or radiation, so if it helps I'm open to trying it.

hemp is canabol? without the high, I smoked the stuff for 45 years, & I think it must be very estrogenic, the seeds perhaps the opposite. it's called mary jane for a reason I use a drop now and them mostly for it's dryingproperty

Sorry to burst your bubble, but "testimonials" and videos prove nothing. Scholarly journals and studies by respected institutions such as university medical schools, ASCO and the Nat'l Cancer Institute are what I put my credence in.

Point #6 on this government site states that cannibanoids have proven to kill cancer cells while keeping healthy cells healthy in laboratory rats. This is encouraging and the reason I am looking into this further.

Hello all dear ladies;

The reason the universities won't study Medical Marijuana is that they made it illegal. the other reason is that cancer is a gazillion dollar business. They have absolutely nothing to gain from us --the suffering they have caused due to their awful treatments as well. Now I took a the treatments, and still take the estrogen blocker, arimidex. I just got my medical MJ card for my state. I began to use small bits of CBD and THC. The THC in Rick Simpson oil is the thing that in large quantities has resolved cancer, according to You Tube. I use the vegan diet and juicing plus the supplement turmeric. I have had no recurrence of cancer in over 4 years-I had a large brain tumor resolved by surgery ad small rads! That says something. Why dont they study this Cannabis oil- its simple math - no profit and there for no real proof either.

Frankly I doubt anyone really knows if it will work but if your dying what have you to loose? . the one concern I have is that Cannabadiol, s similar sounding to Estradiol, the thing that often causes breast cancer for us. while I have both the CBD oil- causes no high and very promising in studies with rats- we dont know for sure that it is or isn't estrogen. So .. I m going easy on all of this because I want pain relief from bot h arms and hands which are permanently damaged from a brain tumor - breast cancer - and lymph-ededma. If they could just be allowed to study it in clinical trials.. but Big Pharma has prevented that.

Eventually they will make it legal and studies will be done. Unfortunately it has been done at Harvard that study too shut down. .The more you study the issue the more suspect i am of conventional therapies. Lets get rid of the restrictions so it can be studied!

Hello, I would like to know if anyone has experience with CBD oil for treating neuropathy and/or joint pain. I was triple positive and had a lumpectomy on July 25, 2019. Chemo was 12 weeks of Taxol, accompanied by Herceptin every 3 weeks and continuing until Aug. 2020. Numbness and tingling in my fingers and feet started about 4 weeks into treatment, and it has NOT gotten any better since.

I tried the Glutamine powder, but it made me nauseous, so I stopped it. (had enough of that already!) My MO wants to put me on Gabapentin, which is a pain reliever, but I really have no pain. Just the extreme numbness/tingling which is debilitating and greatly affects my daily life.

I have heard that a drop of CBD oil under the tongue can be very calming, so I'm wondering if it would help. Thanks for any ideas or thoughts you may have!

Is cannabis oil effective at increasing appetite and alleviating pain in cancer patients? Yes.

But will it actually cause cancer to regress? No.

In fact the different elements are supposed to be better suited to different cancers, for instance CBD is thought to be more beneficial for breast cancer. Obviously there is no real evidence to go on but personally I'm a believer and feel that the oils have helped me cope with chemo if nothing else.

It is true there are stories out there about cannabis curing cancer but there is a world of difference between cannabis killing a few cancer cells in a glass dish in a lab to having a proven drug derived from it, that has been designed through trials and is safe to be used internally.

A 2018 review published in Cancer Medicine, a Wiley journal, emphasized that a range of studies on CBD has demonstrated its anti-cancer applications. CBD has been shown to reduce the viability of cancer cells in neuroblastoma, glioblastoma, melanoma, leukemia, colon, breast, lung, and prostate cancer in animal and in vitro models. The authors of the review proposed that CBD may induce cell death (apoptosis) in cancer cells via indirect activation of the CB2 receptor.

Several studies have investigated the therapeutic potential of CBD for the treatment of breast cancer. One 2006 study published in the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics found that CBD was one of the most potent inhibitors of breast tumor cell growth in a panel of five cannabinoids tested on rats and mice.

These are just a few studies addressing the potential of cannabinoids to help treat cancer. Still, it's far too soon to say that CBD is a safe and effective treatment for cancer in humans. CBD shouldn't be considered a substitute for other cancer treatment.

In short, cannabis oil can be an amazing supplement to help cancer patients, but it is NOT a treatment or cure.

I'm a big fan of Full Spectrum CBD Oil. All full-spectrum CBD products contain less than 0.3% THC.

Full-spectrum CBD products contain a full range of cannabinoids. When the cannabinoids are extracted from hemp, the entire extract is made into a consumable product, meaning that you are getting a healthy dose of all the cannabinoids that were in the plant.
