MRI guided biopsy after post dx MRI

I had MRI at my BS suggestion, which I guess is SOP after the initial diagnosis. Has anyone had to have a MRI guided biopsy after their initial core needle biopsy that confirmed the cancer? I had the MRI on Monday morning. I finally called the nurse navigator this afternoon as I hadn't heard anything. She said the results were in but needed to check with the BS as there is another area of concern, near the area of my tumor is in that is showing up on the MRI. I understand the value of knowing what's in there before surgery, but I assume if it is cancer it would be the same grade/hormone status? Anyone have expierence with this?

I keep telling myself the waiting is hard, but worth it to get a complete dx, but I just want to get on with it and find out what I'm up against. I've been very positive, but hearing that they saw something else upset me more than the initial dx. Ugh!

BTW, the initial core needle got me a dx with IDC grade 1, ER+, PR+ & DCIS
