Lump near elbow
3 days ago my LE went from swelling in my index finger to swelling up to the elbow. I am on a 3-4 month waiting list to see my LE therapist. Last night I discovered a lump in that arm just above the inner elbow area. I am concerned that it may be all related and that it could be the BC returning. I will be calling my BS, she has an US machine in her office. I feel like bawling... I am so tired of recurrence scares. 5 benign cysts along mastectomy scar, full body bone scan(arthritis from tamoxifen), MRI of head(symptoms from trying to titrate off Effexor), lump on right rib(scar tissue from drain)
My lymph nodes on that side were extra nodal and I had LVI. My stress level has not been like this. I don't know why this one has me a mess. You would think one gets used to this.

It doesn't send up red flags as far as recurrence for me. I mean, anything is possible, but surgery and rads really messes that area up. I have had a funky arm lately and initially freaked about brain mets. But I also developed very obvious le symptoms so I'm not really worried anymore. I know what you mean though. I hate having to be so alert all the time

Thank you for the reply. The lump is about the size of a grape tomato in the area of my cubical lymph nodes. The extranodal extension, LVI and ILC throw those flags for me. Thankfully tomorrow is Monday and I should be able to get an appt

Good luck, RobinLK, I remember you from triple pos when I was kathec. I have a lump near there in my elbow too, but harder to tell cause my le was not managed well in the beginning at all. They ignored my "complaints". Mofos. Anyway, I am having a mammo on tuesday, and I am wondering whether the supposed fat necrosis in my breast has gotten larger , it feels like like it has. I don't think it's fat necrosis at all, and i am going to tell my bs-sing BS that I am going to get imaged by a different place, that has a three d tomosynthesis machine. Sooner rather than later, because I want to hear what that other place has to say about it. I have a lump on my ribcage, they say its a node. Benign where they biopsied a year and a half ago. I think the needle may have missed something. because that lump is painful, and it has gotten harder and bigger, with a kind of an edge to it. There are sharp burning pains I feel from it, but she says she will not remove it cause my LE will get worse. I told her its obviously not working, because I have LE in my trunk, too, but still she refuses. Can't hardly wait till tuesday. Good luck, and let us know please what happens, and so will I. (remember when you were new on triple pos, and we all thought you were like twenty? You looked so young without hair! OOOOps, not saying you look old now!

Thank you! I definitely know you from triple positive. It is infuriating when you are not being heard.
I will update when I have an answer.
-
It is infuriating, you are spot on about that! I am sure my med rec's are full of stuff about my anger. I know they are, I have read some! And it just pisses me off, they say they don't feel something, when it is so obvious. You are a good woman, I know it, but shit like this will drive the best of us postal. GRRRR.
-
hoping you can get in and get a answer. Hopefully benign!
-
Kbee! You must be the real bionic woman. It's simply amazing what you have overcome. Was reading your history, what an inspiration

That area is where lymphedema can hurt......nodes there...and maybe lump from blockage?
-
I am hoping for blockage and possibly a referral to another LE place without a waiting list.
-
That would be nice, as it can only get worse. I have a lump there too, Robin. In the meanwhile, if you want to join up with a gang that is super nice, all of them, never a mean word, and all this shit really freaks us out? But we maintain each other and ourselves with a sense of humorand love to a degree that is astounding, even for BCO, where most of the women are profoundly respectful and nice, then come see us at the crazy town thread, where we tell what we are afraid of, and prop each other up. I would love to see you there. I will make a link for the beginning of it, it's pretty hilarious at the beginning, but women found us there, and understood, cause we have all had those crazy thoughts surrounding breast cancer. Hope to see you there, here you are:https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/84/topics/833500?page=1
